Planning a Trip to Seoul? Capture Special Family Photos at This Cozy Studio!

2024-12-14

In Korea, it’s almost a tradition for every family to have at least one family portrait. It’s even common to print these photos as large framed pieces to hang proudly on the wall.

But what about other countries?
In the U.S., family photos are often taken during holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving, usually in a casual setting like at home or outdoors, rather than in a studio. In Europe, it’s more about capturing everyday moments or travel memories and turning those into framed art. Meanwhile, in Southeast Asia, China, and Japan, family photos are often taken for special occasions, but instead of big frames, people tend to keep digital copies or print them in smaller formats.

If you’re looking for a photo studio that caters to all these unique family photo traditions, we’ve got the perfect spot for you! Located in the heart of Seoul, near the trendy Anguk Station, this studio is a must-visit for international visitors.

If you'd like to follow the Korean tradition of creating a larger framed piece, this can be done for an additional cost. On the same day, you can order professional-quality frames in sizes ranging from A4 to A2, and our expert staff will prepare them for you right on-site.

If your family loves Korea or finds yourselves visiting often, why not make it a tradition to stop by for a photo session each time? At Cheese Smile Studio, we’re proud to say that we have many loyal customers who keep coming back.

Unlike trendy spots that are here one day and gone the next, our studio offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere where you’ll feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you can truly experience the warmth of Korean culture while creating lasting memories.

Some visitors return because they want to relive the wonderful memories they captured the first time. Others come back with their families during a new trip, then revisit years later with friends or even partners. Let’s be honest—how often do travelers go back to the same place twice? Most are too busy seeking out new adventures, right?

But Cheese Smile Studio is different. Our signature tones, natural editing style, and fun, interactive photo sessions make it hard not to come back. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you and keeps calling you back for more!

On special occasions like family trips, graduations, or anniversaries, a photo session can make the day even more memorable. As for outfits, you can plan ahead and bring matching clothes, or if that’s too tricky, feel free to borrow from the studio’s wardrobe—completely free of charge! Want something extra special? Renting traditional Korean hanbok from outside and capturing the moment in those beautiful outfits is also a great idea.

For self-service sessions, everything from shooting to printing takes about an hour and a half. It might sound long, but trust us, the time flies by as you laugh and snap photos with your loved ones. The session is broken down into 30 minutes for shooting, 15 minutes for selecting your favorite shots, and 40 minutes for editing and printing. The best part? You’ll leave the studio with printed photos and a mini frame the same day—an absolute hit with international visitors!

If it’s been a while since you’ve taken family photos—or if you’ve never done it before—why not try a casual self-service session or a professional photoshoot at Cheese Smile Studio? It’ll be an unforgettable memory of your time in Korea!

Booking is super easy—you can make a reservation through Instagram or global platforms like Klook, KKday, Creatrip, Seoul Pass, and Rakuten Travel Experiences. Just make sure to book your date and time in advance. If you’re planning a trip to Korea, now’s the perfect time to check it out!
